Accomplishments 2018 - 2019

We had a busy 2018 - 2019 season! As we gear up for another year, take a look at some of our accomplishments over the past year:

  • November 2018 --A capella Night  brought teens and teachers from 5 high schools in for a free singing workshop with a premier collegiate a cappella group and an inspirational evening of song for the community.

  • Senior Citizen Matinees used the arts to bring the generations in our community together for two afternoons of free theatrical entertainment.

  • Fairy Tale Hayride was fun for young families and a shout out to a local farm and the PRHS theatre department.

  • Past is Prologue: The Essence of a Community told thru Art and History showcasing Voices of West Newbury -- a multi-year effort featuring reflections on the town made by some of WN’s most senior residents.

  • Drawing From Our Past: A Tri-Town Tape Art Festival. A first-of-its-kind multi-week public art project that drew our Pentucket Community together with whimsy and creativity.

  • Our Annual Appeal raised $4,145 for the fine and performing arts in our community.

  • We awarded $2,500 in Educational Grants including an artist in residency that brought wire sculptor Ryan Kelley to work with Pentucket’s visual arts students.

  •  David Yang visited the strings class at Pentucket and was very well received. He had praise for Pentucket’s program and offered to work regularly with a quartet of students.

  • The John McGrath and Margaret Duchemin Passion for the Arts Grant provided a fun and free dance workshop for elementary-aged kids; two master classes in percussion for middle school students; and a fabric fashion club at the high school.

  • Our Student Scholarship awarded $3,000 to 3 deserving students pursuing the arts in college.

  • The Foundation again contributed a refreshment table to the annual PRHS arts festival and raised funds for the Ellen Burke Hart Scholarship which supports a student pursuing arts education.

  • We partnered with PRHS visual arts students on a float for the WN Memorial Day parade.

Our mission is to promote excellence in the Fine and Performing Arts in the Tri-Town Pentucket Region by providing quality visual art, music, dance, and theatre experiences. We believe in the power of the arts to transform lives and are dedicated to using this power to help make our Community a more vibrant and creative place to live, work, and learn.
