The Pentucket Arts Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization formed on May 5, 2003 under the original name "The Pentucket Fine and Performing Arts Foundation" (PFPAF). Active community members, business leaders, and concerned parents of the Pentucket Regional School District spearheaded the organization. Growing concerns over the lack of resources available for arts programming coupled with recognition of the tremendous artistic talents within the Pentucket school system and a desire to extend quality arts programming into the community has generated steady support for the non-profit association. The Pentucket Arts Foundation was founded on the belief that all artists need audiences and that creative thinking leads to a better future.​
